Varun Rupela

Varun Rupela is a Therapist in Training. He consults with clients as part of his own practice and with the Hyderabad Academy of Psychology as well. He is an Arts Based Therapy Practitioner and trained in Counselling and Group Work. He currently runs self-reflective peer support groups with beginning therapists where he integrates Process Work, Expressive Arts and Play. 

In his previous avatar, he did his Masters in Computer Science from Auburn University, USA and worked in Sun Microsystems and Oracle for about 10 years. He moved on to working on Water and Waste Management projects with Smarter Dharma and also assisted with the Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program at Navadarshanam Trust. 

He enjoys birding on nature walks. He is currently working on some Writing Projects for fun and learning, setting up Playgroups for grown-ups, Listening Circles and Support Groups.

Varun completed his internship journey with Aastha Foundation in 2016. He is currently a member of the Governing Council.
