Hands touch in reverence,
Hearts meet,
Time slows,
For a moment
The mind quietens
The fog begins to clear;
My body is a temple
Cleansed, purified
I take a step
With my eyes both open and closed,
I look in,
The door slightly ajar
A deep silence
Can celebration be in silence?
A deep knowing
The spirit dances and flows
Wild and free
Flow and stillness
Drums and quiet
I stand there unfurling
As magic unfolds around me,
Alone, together
Held and holding
In the shade of the pink bougainvillea
Journeys of years can be taken
In a few moments,
In a space this sacred.
The wisdom from long journeys
Can be touched, experienced
In a space this precious.
And for a moment,
I experience home,
in my body temple
My spirit dances
My mind quietens
And I make a wish
In faith.
